Earl, a senior pit bull, found his forever home is especially heartwarming. It’s not uncommon for senior pets to be overlooked in shelters, despite their many wonderful qualities. However, adopting a senior pet can be an incredibly rewarding experience.
It’s also worth celebrating that not one, but two of our FIV+ cats were also adopted. FIV+ cats can have a harder time finding homes due to the stigma and misinformation surrounding their condition. However, FIV+ cats can live happy and healthy lives with proper care, and adopting one can be an incredibly rewarding experience.

We posted that our pup Monte went on a night out to a Girl Scout meeting to tell the girls all about our shelter. Monte met lots of kids… and a few grown ups. One of the families had lost their pup recently… they were planning on waiting a bit til they welcomed another to their home… Well tadaaaaaaaaa 🥁🥁🥁Monte went home today to that Girl Scout family! We had to wait a bit to post because the girls didn’t know what mom and dad planned! Have the best time with your new family sweet boy!
Tilda! Our little rear leg walking, Dobby the house elf, body builder favorite… ADOPTED! Her moms a new volunteer and clicked with her from the meet… one of the side effects of volunteering…oops! Happy life ladies ❤️🐾

Our old man Earl who won the hearts of multiple parade goers, groups that visited us, volunteers and staff went to what we thought was a forever foster a bit ago… well… his foster mama wanted to make him officially all hers forever! Big Earl is in his forever home. We adore him and his mama who opened up her home and heart to our senior boy.

John went home today with his new family! John’s dad met him at the Wheels & Whiskey presented by Speakeasy Motors American Whiskey Co car show last week! And he knew he had to have him… it’s official today! That makes 2/2 dogs adopted from the show… here’s to hoping the car show season continues to be successful!
