Read to our adoptable cats and dogs.

RESCUE READERS KIDS

Who doesn’t love being told a story?  Our dogs and cats are no different. Sign up for a 30-minute session in the early morning or after hours.  Each session is broken into 15 minutes of reading, followed by 15 minutes of socialization with an adoptable pet.  Sessions are limited to 1 child + 1 adult. Open to all students of reading age. RSVP required.

OUTDOOR RESCUE READERS (18+)

HSW is pleased to announce rescue readers for adults! With dedicated outdoor seating this program is weather permitting. 30 minute sessions are available daily with the last session beginning at 1:30 pm. Readers must come into the lobby to sign-in and alert staff to their arrival. We have a few books in our library for adult readers, but strongly recommend bringing your own material to read. RSVP strongly encouraged.
