The amazing Mary Esparra from Mary’s Shelter Tails, has once again spearheaded the $3 Shelter Challenge to benefit local animal welfare organizations.
The first year of the Challenge, her readers sent in $1,100 to our shelters and rescues. Since that first Challenge, readers have donated nearly $79,000 to help our homeless pets!
She has promoted the Humane Society of Walden’s efforts to purchase additional intake cages so we can accept more stray and surrendered cats, increasing the number that can be rescued and adopted.
